OLYMPIC GYMNASTS Kirsty Leigh Brown from Oak Flats was given a scholarship at the Australian Institute of Sport. Kirsty Leigh became the regions first Olympian when she was selected for the 1996 Olympic Games held in Atlanta, aged 14 she was the youngest Australian on the team.
